Tessellating Creations

Today in Maths, we've been exploring tessellations. Miss Jeynes set up different 'stations' around the room, and we were able to practice tessellating different shapes.

We got really creative! We had to make sure there were NO gaps.  We worked out that circle and ovals DON'T tessellate, because curved edges means there will be gaps. We needed shapes with straight edges.

  1. Wow, your patterns look AWESOME Room 3! I bet you had lots of fun creating these patterns. I love the pukeko/duck/chicken/takahe creature that Bella and Brooke made!
