ANZAC DAY

On Friday we had a special visit from some people from the army. They brought in some of their vehicles and let us climb on board to have a closer look. They showed us a massive gun and talked to us about their jobs in the army.

We had a special ANZAC service at the end of the day to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the soldiers landing at Gallipoli.
Thanks Miss Simpson for organising this special event.

What a fun time you all had when the army came to school. How well behaved you all were for your ANZAC service in the playground, you have learned such a lot about this time 100 years ago, well done everyone. From Talk Talk

What an awesome experience for the school! Well done arranging it Miss Simpson. Great pics Miss Jeynes! It's great to see the kids learning about our courageous New Zealand, included our men and women in the defence forces,

  3. Not a problem Room 3. It was an awesome experience wasn't it. Hopefully they'll bring some shells next time and we can blow something up!
